A little bit about us
505 was opened in this beautiful space down a charming side street in Dingle, not for the views but for the fish.
Damo had always dreamed of having a restaurant this close to the fishing boats, where he could cook with the freshest catch and have his pick of the brilliant produce West Kerry has to offer.
There’s a rich fishing history here, and there’s so much in these waters to work with, from the fish and shellfish to the luscious seaweeds. All the good stuff.

After 22 years working across Ireland, the UK, and internationally — including Michelin-starred kitchens in Edinburgh, Copenhagen, Melbourne, and the Lake District — I fell in Love with County Kerry and opened Kingdom 1795 in the beautiful town of Killorglin.
We went on to be awarded Best Restaurant in Kerry for four consecutive years and best Restaurant in Munster 2023 while also featuring in the Michelin Guide .
505 is my first fully independent restaurant — a small seafood-led restaurant focused on exceptional local produce, honest cooking & some beautiful wines.

I started working with Damo at Kingdom 1795 in 2019 and spent a few years there before moving to Exeter to do a master’s in Food Studies. I’ve worked in restaurants ever since, from farm shops to a five-star hotels.
At the end of a solo backpacking trip, I followed Damo to Dingle, to manage the front of house at 505.
I still get excited when something new comes into the kitchen. I love finding out where it came from, seeing what Damo does with it and getting to tell you a little about it when it lands on your table.
